Castelli made it on the limit of not being too transparent, in case you want to wear it for group training sessions. Or if you're using it at home and want to take it off after warming up, the long zipper means it comes off easily. They even put a couple of pockets on the back so you can stash your AirPods or phone or headband or whatever you haul to your training station. We don't recommend this for long or even medium-length rides in full sun, but this is the best option we know of for those evening rides in the hottest days of summer, or if you're trying to even out your tan. The sleeves are lifted directly from Castelli's pro race jersey, but in this case because the four-way-stretch fabric with raw-cut sleeve endings is as comfortable as it is aerodynamic. The velocissima jersey is not lacking in technical details, but it was also designed to look good. The fabrics are piece-dyed for rich color, and then they get a sublimated overprint for the tone-on-tone graphic over the shoulders.
