Outerwear

$279.99 - $289.99
This jacket is about the art of dressing just right for cool conditions. We're talking about those days when you need some protection from the cool air but not enough to bring out the winter jacket. Overdress and you'll be sweating and get cold because you're wet. Underdress and you never fully warm up to enjoy the ride.
The concepts behind the construction are fairly simple: wind protection on front-facing surfaces, highly breathable fabrics on back-facing surfaces, and all-around water repellency in case you get a few drops of rain. But what makes this jacket spectacular is how we executed these simple concepts. The wind protection comes from our GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER lightweight two-way-stretch fabric that moves with you while being so light you'll hardly notice it's there. This light wind layer is backed by a separate ProSecco Strada inner layer with a separate zip that can be opened independently for perfect ventilation control. The back is made from our Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric that provides a good level of insulation yet has no membrane so allows for ample amounts of sweat to escape. The fit is close to the body so there is no fabric flapping around, while the little details make the difference: easy-sliding YKK zippers, reflective drain holes on the pockets, a lie-flat silicone gripper band around the waist.
All these features are why this jacket is consistently named a favorite among Castelli staffers. We think it will be one of your favorites too.
- GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER 150 fabric on front and sleeves for wind protection with high breathability and effective rain protection
- Nano Flex Xtra Dry on the back for more ventilation allows heat and sweat to escape while shedding rain thanks to a nanotechnology water-repellent finish
- Alpha double-layer construction separates the windproof layer from an insulation layer, allowing better ventilation management
- Inner layer in ProSecco Strada for lightweight insulation with effective moisture management
- Double YKK Vislon front zippers
- Front zippered pocket
- 3 rear pockets with reflective laser-cut drain holes
- Raw-edge waist lies flat and moves with you

NOT YOUR OLD-STYLE WIND JACKET
If you're like us, there's a reason you're not using your old-style wind jacket more. With waterproof jackets like the Idro being lighter and more compact than ever, we felt it was time to reinvent a classic. In reality, the Aria Jacket is very different from your flappy old jacket that either didn't protect you or didn't breathe. This jacket is an impossibly light layer that keeps the wind off the front of your body while allowing ample breathability through the mesh side panels. But what you’ll really appreciate is how we use the stretch panels in the sides and on the back of the sleeves to make this jacket fit like a second skin: no flapping fabric, no cold air circulating inside the jacket, no more looking like a throwback to the Armstrong era. This jacket is light and warm enough to wear for the entire ride in mild conditions, but if you do want to take it off it folds into a side panel pocket and stuffs away in minimal space in your pocket or seat bag.
- Ultralight windproof woven microfiber front
- Striped mesh fabric at sides and sleeve back is stretchy to avoid fabric flapping in the wind
- Folds up extremely small
- Rear pocket
- YKK Vislon zipper
- Reflective piping
- 10°-18°C/50°-65°F
- Weight: 82g

If you're looking for just one jacket to do it all, start here.
We used our lightest GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER three-layer stretch fabric, which makes it great for milder conditions, and the stretch gives it a great fit. It's the same outer fabric as we use for our Alpha RoS 2 Jacket, called "The benchmark in how the best winter jackets should perform" by Cyclingnews.com, but the Go Jacket forgoes the Alpha's integrated liner so you can decide how much insulation you need. Add a Flanders Warm base layer and thermal jersey to extend the comfort range to subfreezing temperatures.
But the fabric is only the start. We've tailored the fit to be close to body but not too close. It gives a good drape to the jacket, rounded out by details like the no-sew finishing to the hem and the zippered colored chest pocket. The hidden internal cuffs are a nice comfort touch, and you'll appreciate how they eliminate drafts from the wrist. There are three pockets on the back, with a large reflective strip stretching across the entire bottom of the pockets for nighttime visibility.
Where does this jacket fit in our line? It's similar in warmth to the Perfetto RoS Long Sleeve, but it has a more tailored and elegant look, with a slightly more relaxed fit, and it's not quite as protective in wet weather.
- Full soft-shell construction with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER 150 keeps cold wind out while offering exceptional breathability
- Excellent stretch with a neutral fit for extra comfort
- Internal stretch wrist closure for perfect glove interface
- Zippered chest pocket
- YKK Vislon zipper with rubberized zipper pull
- No-sew waist construction for clean, technical look
- 3 rear pockets
- Large reflective strip across pockets for low-light visibility

IF YOU HAD JUST ONE JACKET
The Perfetto RoS is the one jacket that does everything well. We initially designed it as a cool-weather training and extreme-weather race piece for our pro riders, but in reality, it excels in many conditions thanks to its full wind protection, great fit through stretchy fabrics, and best-in-class breathability.
Winter 2019 represents the biggest performance upgrade in the four generations of this jacket. RoS in the name signifies Rain or Shine. The emphasis should be on dry-weather comfort, which is where this jacket really excels, but then you get near waterproof protection if you do get caught in the rain. We worked with Gore to develop two new Castelli exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER fabrics. We use a light fleece-lined water-resistant version on the forward-facing surfaces and a lighter, stretchier fabric on the back that maintains the breathability of the previous fabric while improving water repellency at the same time.
The Perfetto RoS is that ideal weight: no built-in insulation so you can layer over a light base layer for moderate conditions. Or you can add a thermal jersey underneath and take it to very cold conditions. You decide.
The Perfetto family features are all there: excellent fit, easy-sliding YKK zipper, long tail to protect from wheel-spray, reflective panel on the back, and discreet styling that belies the jacket's racing pedigree.
This is the one jacket that belongs in every cyclist's quiver.
- Castelli exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM 205 Warm brushed waterproof fabric on front-facing surfaces

- 2 rear pockets with pump sleeve are easily accessed with gloved hands

This is a modern interpretation of the wind shell jacket, the one you keep in your pocket for a long descent or put on for the first hour of the ride until the day warms up. That jacket used to be a simple affair — a nylon shell — but the lack of stretch meant that it had to be cut on the generous side to fit all body shapes, both on and off the bike.
We've completely reimagined what the shell jacket should be and how it's constructed. We've added panels on the sides and the sleeves in a very high-stretch yet tightly knit fabric that allows us to give the jacket a modern, close-to-body fit for aero gains on any terrain, and it actually keeps more heat in than a jacket that's flapping about. We've kept it very compact so that it can pack away into minimal space in a jersey pocket.
The stretch panels are treated for water repellency, which will help in a light mist, but this is not meant to be a true rain jacket.
- Coated ripstop nylon front and back and front of sleeves to keep wind off
- Tightly knit stretch panels on sides and sleeves allow for perfect fit
- High collar to keep drafts out
- Reflective details on chest and lower back for low-light visibility

We've completely re-engineered our entry-level vest. A new coated ripstop fabric keeps the wind off the front and spray off the back, while the tightly knit side panels allow the vest to stretch to fit a wide range of shapes while keeping a close-to-body fit that eliminates fabric flapping in the wind. The collar is cut high and the back long for extra protection and the color blocking of the stretch panels and the reflective details on the chest and tail give it an elegant design touch.
- Coated ripstop nylon front and back to keep wind off
- Tightly knit stretch panels on sides for perfect fit and ventilation
- High collar to keep drafts out

WIDER COMFORT RANGE
|With warmer fall and spring temperatures, or if you're lucky enough to live where winter means mild conditions, this jacket is ideal for those days when it's not cold enough to cover your ears. The GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER mid-weight fabric on the front keeps the wind at bay, while our fleecy Warmer fabric on the back allows moisture and excess heat to escape. It provides a surprising amount of protection without causing overheating. You can also add an insulating layer underneath and use it in quite cold conditions.
- Our lightest jacket for fall or light winter riding
- GORE-TEX INFINIUM X-Mid front and sleeves for wind protection with exceptional breathability
- Warmer fleece fabric on back for additional breathability
- Asymmetrical YKK Vislon zipper
- 3 rear pockets
- 8°-16°C / 46°-60°F
- Weight: 285g

When the challenge is distance rather than speed, this jacket brings warmth and comfort with styling that looks right both on the bike and at the food stop.
We're doing more and more long adventure rides. Sometimes that means rides with major elevation changes. Or riding through the cold of night and the heat of the day. Or multiday bikepacking rides. This jacket shines in those situations because it provides a lot of insulation and warmth when you need it, but it packs down small in your seat bag when you don't need it.
The outer layer is a fabric you've seen on some high-end down jackets from some big brands. We like it because it's so light yet it keeps the wind out. Then on the inside, Polartec Alpha Direct is the lightest, most packable, and highest-wicking insulation available. It's warm like a synthetic down but doesn't require an inner layer that would reduce breathability and add weight.
For your next Unlimited adventure, just stick this jacket and a GORE-TEX Idro Jacket in your bag and you're ready for anything.
- Coated windproof microfiber woven outer shell with DWR treatment
- Polartec Alpha Direct insulation layer for maximum loft with minimum bulk
- Nano Flex stretch woven fabric on underside of sleeves, sides, and lower back adds stretch and breathability
- Zippered pockets on chest and back
- 2 large rear pockets covered with flap to look right when off the bike
- YKK Vislon zipper with U-shaped zipper pull
- Woven inner label and vintage scorpion logo on sleeve
